Photographic top shoe TTL flash photography techniques

if you want to take out professional indoor photos, then buy a digital SLR camera is only successful in half. Remember, never used the top of the camera comes with Flash. You may have heard, using the hot shoe Flash can greatly enhance the level of photo, as this is only half. The remaining half is how to use Flash. Flash itself will not produce miracles, you only need to use it correctly.

indoor Flash skills (rotation)

first , Starting from the Flash head tilt and rotation. There are no fixed lighting angle, this is the top Flash can't do.

set to TTL flash mode. TTL means "through the lens" (through the lens). In TTL mode, the camera will assess through the lens into light, automatically select the appropriate Flash output.

after mounted on the camera hot shoe Flash, is directly under the default points to be taken. We see this called 12 o'clock direction. This may be the worst way to use, results in a hard light, if the model behind the wall will cast deep shadows, sometimes let the model's face looks "flat".

now, model standing on the left or right position of the wall (wall preferably white), and then turning 3 or 9 o'clock direction Flash (depending on the location of the wall). Flash now point to the side of the wall, so you can create a nice side effect.

then turned to the 6 o'clock direction Flash, if you are behind a wall. This is done to light around the cover was taken, will minimize shadows.

indoor Flash technique (tilt)

combination of rotation and tilt function, you can make Flash links to almost any angle. Using walls of light reflection for lighting. Sometimes we will make flash point to the corner of the walls and ceiling junction, aims to get light with direction, cause to be taken on the body takes on a uniform shadow and highlight transition.

remember, greater the relative dimensions of the light source, the light is softer. Because of larger light source around the absorbed, reduce the contrast between light and shadow. Hot shoe Flash itself smaller, is a small light source. By jumping on the light reflection, can form larger light source, soft light. Because the content in this article limits the top hot-shoe Flash, use Flash therefore not discussed here. Using Flash, you can create a more softer, more changeable light.
